"The action I am taking is no more than a radical measure to hasten the explosion of truth and justice. I have but one passion: to enlighten those who have been kept in the dark, in the name of humanity which has suffered so much and is entitled to happiness. My fiery protest is simply the cry of my very soul. Let them dare, then, to bring me before a court of law and let the enquiry take place in broad daylight!"

Sarah Palin Is An EXTREMIST Far Outside The Mainstream. An Extremist Is An Extremist, Is An Extremist.
Posted by ed. dickau at 7:49 AMBarack Obama Was Hounded Because Of The Pastor Of His Church. Sarah Palin Has A Collection Of Kooks That Ought To Scare The Hell Out Of Everyone In America.
An Extremist Is An Extremist, Is An Extremist, And I Don’t See Palin Running For The Door Of Repudiation!
If You Believe Like This Chick Fluff Nominee; You Are Damned; Damned I Say!
When Palin took office as governor in 2006, according to the New York Times, she asked her former pastor in the Assembly of God church in Wasilla for "a biblical example of people who were great leaders and what was the secret of their leadership"--that's what Paul E. Riley, the pastor, told Kirk Johnson and Kim Severson of the Times. He recommended the Old Testament story of Esther, the beautiful Jewish queen who persuaded the Persian king to save the Jews from annihilation and instead let them kill their enemies. The story is celebrated by Jews annually in the Feast of Purim.
The cover of Newsweek this week is a photo of Palin with a shotgun. The Iranians should be worried - and so should the Americans.

Pastor: GOP may be downplaying Palin's religious beliefs
WASILLA, Alaska (CNN) -- For more than two decades, vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin was a practicing Pentecostal.
She belonged to the Wasilla Assembly of God church in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska. But though she attended the church from her teenage years to 2002, the Alaska governor hasn't talked much about her religion since joining the Republican ticket.
Palin's former pastor, Tim McGraw, says that like many Pentecostal churches, some members speak in tongues, although he says he's never seen Palin do so. Church member Caroline Spangler told CNN, "When the spirit comes on you, you utter things that nobody else can understand ... only God can understand what is coming out of our mouths."
Some Pentecostals from Assembly of God also believe in "faith healing" and the "end times" -- a violent upheaval that they believe will deliver Jesus Christ's second coming.
"Our basic belief is that God is God and he knows where history is going and he has a purposeful plan and within the middle of that plan we live in an environment in our world where certain events would take place," says McGraw. "Sarah wasn't taught to look for one particular sign -- a cataclysmic sign. She knew as every Christian does ... that God is sovereign and he is in control."
McGraw says Palin's Pentecostal roots may be being downplayed for a reason: "I think there may be issues of belief that could be misunderstood or played upon by people that don't know."
When asked by CNN about Palin's beliefs, campaign spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton would only say the Republican vice presidential candidate has "deep religious convictions."
But how might her religious beliefs impact policy in Washington if the Republican ticket is successful?
Palin's former pastor says he has no doubt her religious beliefs will influence her decision making when it comes to government policy.
Regarding her desire to build an Alaskan pipeline and explore for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, McGraw told CNN, "Sarah knows that in Genesis, God creates the world and it's very good and that we're supposed to be caretakers in terms of not destroying the environment, so there's no way that Sarah is going to exploit or damage the Alaska tundra in the name of getting gas if she doesn't have to." Palin's neighbors react to her swift rise
Six years ago, Palin left Assembly of God to join the non-denominational Wasilla Bible Church. But the Assembly of God says she still returns for special conferences and events, such as the graduation of ministry students in June. Video of a speech she gave at the church just two months before joining the Republican ticket is making the rounds on the Internet.
Speaking of the troops in Iraq, Palin says on the video, "Pray for our military men and women who are striving do to what is right. Also for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending them out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for -- that there is a plan, and that plan is God's plan."
Her campaign says she doesn't mix her faith with government business. But Palin did ask her audience to pray for a $30 billion natural gas pipeline she is on a mission to build in Alaska. In the video Palin says, "I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas pipeline built. So pray for that ... I can do my job there in developing my natural resources. But all of that doesn't do any good if the people of Alaska's heart is not good with God."
McGraw, who was her pastor until 1998 and while she was mayor of Wasilla, says that Palin attended discipleship classes to strengthen her Pentecostal faith and that he counseled her on how to become a better leader.
"Everyone has a way of viewing the world and Sarah does too and hers would be shaped by the common-sense practicality of how she's been shaped by the Bible -- which is basically the world view that says God loves people, people can access him and he's given us wisdom for living," McGraw says.
He says Alaska has seen Palin's faith play out. As governor she passed ethics reform and took on what she's referred to as a "good-ol'-boys network." However, she has said she would not seek to impose her religious views on others. iReport.com: Share your thoughts on Sarah Palin
"I think one of the most obvious ways it plays out is what you've seen -- is being courageous enough to deal with deception and corruption," McGraw says.
Palin now attends the Wasilla Bible Church. She was there on August 17, just days before entering the national spotlight. David Brickner, the founder of Jews for Jesus, was a speaker. He told congregants that terrorist attacks on Israel were God's "judgment" of Jews who haven't embraced Christianity. Brickner said, "Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. When a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment -- you can't miss it."
The McCain campaign says Brickner's comments do not reflect her religious views. Palin's spokeswoman says she is pro-Israel.
Pastor Ed Kalnin, the senior pastor of Palin's former Pentecostal church, has also come under fire for his comments. In 2004, he told church members if they voted for John Kerry for president, they wouldn't get into heaven. He told them, "I question your salvation."
The Assembly of God issued a statement online in response, which said Kalnin was "joking" when he suggested "Kerry supporters would go to hell." The statement went on to say: "We do acknowledge in hindsight that it was careless, and we do apologize for that. This statement is not written as a defense, but as a clarification."
Palin has done little while in office to advance a social conservative agenda. She told The Associated Press in an interview in 2006 that she would not allow her personal beliefs to dictate public policy.
"I've honestly answered the questions on what my personal views are on things like abortion and a lot of controversial issues," Palin told AP. "I won't hesitate to answer those questions about what my personal views are, but I am not one to be out there preaching and forcing my views on anyone else."
But in the last week, her religious background and outlook has certainly spurred debate far beyond Alaska.
The McCain campaign says the governor doesn't consider herself Pentecostal

Spiritual mentors and pastoral endorsements have brought a few pastors to the forefront in the 2008 election. Sen. Barack Obama broke with his long-term pastor and Sen. John McCain eventually rejected endorsements from pastor John Hagee and pastor Rod Parsley.
Now, Harper's Magazine reporters have dug up sermons from Sarah Palin's pastors.
Palin has attended the Juneau Christian Center, where Mike Rose serves as senior pastor. Her previous pastor was David Pepper of the Church on the Rock in Palin’s hometown of Wasilla.
Sebastian Jones found links to some of their sermons.
Rose said during a July 28, 2007 sermon: “Do you believe we’re in the last days? After listening to Newt Gingrich and the prime minister of Israel and a number of others at our gathering, I became convinced, and I have been convinced for some time. We are living in the last days. These are incredible times to live in.”
Pepper said during a November 25, 2007 sermon: “The purpose for the United States is… to glorify God. This nation is a Christian nation.”

Officials of Gov. Sarah Palin's former church, Wasilla Assembly of God, in Alaska, shut down part of their Web site Wednesday, stating that their server could not handle the higher-than-normal traffic.
The part of the Web site no longer functioning appears to be the section where the sermons of senior Pastor Ed Kalnins were available, including one from 2004 -- after Palin left the church -- where he suggested heaven wasn't necessarily in the cards for anyone who voted for Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.
Also no longer available is the video of a speech Palin delivered in June at the graduation service for the church's School of Ministry.
"WasillaAG.net was never intended to handle the traffic it has received in the last few days," says a message on the church Web site. "Due to technical limitations, WasillaAG.net will be unavailable for the immediate future."
Palin attended Wasilla Assembly of God from her teenage years through 2002. She and her family now attend Wasilla Bible Church.
Srutiny of Palin, ever since she was named Sen. John McCain's vice presidential running mate last Friday, has brought attention to all aspects of her biography.
"We have had some inquires into Gov. Palin's beliefs," a statement from Wasilla Assembly of God reads. "We do know that Gov. Palin is a woman of integrity. She is a servant of the people, she is a strong leader. As for her personal beliefs, Gov. Palin is well able to speak for herself on those issues.
"As Alaskans, we are excited about our governor being selected as the nominee for vice president," the statement continues. "As residents of Wasilla, we are ecstatic about one of our own being thrust to the national forefront. However, as a church, it is not appropriate for us to endorse any one candidate over another."
The Book of First Timothy, the church says, "tells us pray for those in authority. This we will do, no matter who is elected. We wish the best to Gov. Palin, and Sen. McCain, as well as to Sen. Obama and Sen. Biden."
Some of the video of Palin speaking at the Wasilla Assembly of God commencement address was recently posted at the liberal Huffington Post.
The governor is shown speaking comfortably about her faith in Jesus Christ.
"It was so cool growing up in this church and getting saved here," the governor says, "getting baptized by Pastor (Paul) Riley."
Palin asked the congregation to "pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."
The Huffington Post described this as Palin "paint(ing) the current war in Iraq as a messianic affair in which the United States could act out the will of the Lord," which McCain-Palin spokesman Michael Goldfarb calls "a distortion of what she was saying."
"She very clearly was saying that she's praying for military men and women to do what's right," Goldfarb says. "Every religious American prays that what the U.S. is doing in Iraq is something that is a righteous act."
Religious Americans regularly pray that acts they take are the correct, or righteous ones, Goldfarb said, arguing that was what Palin meant by her remarks.
Palin's current church has also undergone scrutiny.
The Politico's Ben Smith reported that Palin was present for an Aug. 17 sermon by David Brickner, an activist for the missionary group "Jews for Jesus," considered quite controversial among many American Jews. The Anti-Defamation League of B'nai Brith has criticized Brickner for "targeting Jews for conversion with subterfuge and deception."
Brickner in his sermon described terrorist attacks on Israelis as part of "an ongoing reflection of the fact that there is judgment" by God of those who have not accepted Jesus as their savior.
"When Jesus was standing in that temple, He spoke that that judgment was coming, that there's a reality to the judgment of unbelief. ... Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. It's very real."
Brickner described when his son Isaac recently "was in Jerusalem, he was there to witness some of that judgment, some of that conflict, when a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment -- you can't miss it. "
Goldfarb said that Brickner "was a guest at the church, who Gov. Palin did not know would be speaking, and she does not share the views he expressed. She and her family would not have been sitting in the pews of the church if those remarks were remotely typical."
Earlier this year, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., went through some tough questions about his now-former church, Trinity United Church of Christ, and his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who made many controversial comments from his pulpit. Faced with intense scrutiny of his church, pastor, and those offering guest sermons, Obama resigned from his church at the end of May.
"If the Obama campaign wants to have a debate about who was in church for what sermon," Goldfarb told ABC News, "that's not an argument we're going to shy away from."
I Couldn’t Believe This Crap So I Spent Extra Time In The Research…Conclusion: Veep Ester Or President Ester…This Is Getting Deep.
Sarah Palin took the biblical Queen Esther as her role model when she became governor, according to her former pastor--a report that suggests her ties to Jewish history are stronger than you might have expected.
The parallels are clear. Esther was selected queen in a beauty contest; Palin was runner-up in the Miss Alaska pageant.
So Queen Esther apparently provided the role model for the former beauty queen who went to our own king and asked for earmarks for her people.
The Palin/Queen Esther report has sparked a flood of commentary from fundamentalist Christian web sites. One reports that "Sarah Palin, like Esther, was an unlikely choice. Sarah Palin, like Esther, is bold and courageous in the face of fear. Sarah Palin, like Esther, proves you can be loyal and devoted to your family while having a high position. But perhaps, more than anything, . . . we are seeing someone right before our eyes who is capturing the hearts of the American people in a way that defies description" - just like the Bible says, "And Esther won the favor of everyone who saw her."
Another says "Every once in a while a woman comes along who is made for the times. Sarah Palin is such a woman. . . . Another woman, Esther, was brought on the scene by God at just the right time. God's timing was perfect for he used Esther to save the Jews"--and now he is using Palin to save the Republicans.
One problem with this view -that God sent Palin the way He sent Esther -- is that the Book of Esther never mentions God. It never says God sent Esther to save His people, or even that Esther's belief in God gave her the power to defeat her enemies. Somebody should point this out to the fundamentalists.
If you follow the logic in the story - as another fundamentalist Christian website did - you find a "major, and creepily precise" parallel between the threats to Jews then and now. In Esther's day the threat came from Persia - and what country is the modern successor to Persia? Iran, of course -- "the same Iran that has vowed to wipe Israel off the map and is well on their way to acquiring the nuclear weaponry to do so . . . . And along comes tough, clear-eyed, plain-speaking Sarah Palin."
The implications for Palin's Iran policy are clear. In the Bible, after the Jews are saved from annihilation, and after the first day of Jewish revenge against their enemies, the King tells Esther the Jews have killed 500 people, and asks what she wants to do next. Esther says she wants permission for a second day of killing - so the king grants the Jews the right "to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish the entire host of every people and province that oppress them, small children and women, and to take their spoils for plunder."
The Bible says the Jews then killed 75,000 more of their enemies. It doesn't say anything about Jewish casualties, which makes it seem like a one-sided slaughter. (This part usually doesn't get mentioned at the Purim carnival.)
The cover of Newsweek this week is a photo of Palin with a shotgun. The Iranians should be worried - and so should the Americans.
Alex Koppelman calls it in Salon.com, “Sarah Palin’s Pastor Problem: http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/2008/09/05/pastor/index.html.
Sarah Palin's Pastor Problem
Sarah Palin's Pastor Problem
This election season has already seen Barack Obama repudiate his pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, for his controversial views. Sarah Palin, John McCain’s newly-minted running mate, may soon be considering doing the same.
Palin's pastor, Larry Kroon, invited the founder of Jews for Jesus, David Brickner, to speak at her church on August 17th, Politico's Ben Smith reported. According to its mission statement, Jews for Jesus is an organization that tries: "to make the messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to our Jewish people worldwide."
Palin and her family were present in the church for Brickner's sermon, the full text of which can be found here. In the sermon, he made a number of inflammatory claims, most particularly about terrorist attacks in Israel. "Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. It’s very real," he opined. Speaking of his son, who had recently been in Jerusalem, he said: "When Isaac was in Jerusalem he was there to witness some of that judgment, some of that conflict, when a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment -- you can't miss it."
The McCain campaign has denied that Sarah Palin or her family support Brickner’s views. Andrew Sullivan of The Atlantic's Daily Dish quoted one of the campaign's spokesmen, Michael Goldfarb, saying that: "Governor Palin does not share the views he expressed, and she and her family would not have been sitting in the pews of this church for the last seven years if his remarks were even remotely typical." But according to Larry Kroon's introduction to the sermon, Brickner, who also spoke at the church four years ago, was influential in his decision to become a pastor.
John McCain has long been perceived by voters as friend to Israel, in no small part because he enjoys the support of Senator Joseph Lieberman, one of Israel's more vocal champions on the national scene. Palin's pastor problem could weaken that perception.
Jews for Jesus now has a statement on its homepage claiming Brickner's "statements regarding God's judgment have been published out of context in a way that we feel is misleading. David holds the traditional evangelical belief that God judges all people for sin, and that Jesus is the solution for the sins of everyone who will repent and receive God's gracious forgiveness."
Brickner went on to preach about terrorism in Israel, from a Jews for Jesus perspective. For his complete sermon see: http://blog.beliefnet.com/stevenwaldman/2008/09/palin-the-jewish-vote.html.
An invitation to Brickner might be OK given the nutty orientation of the group, but two invitations, is the equivalent of Barack Obama sitting quietly in the pews of Trinity United Church of Christ, contributing thousands of dollars to that church, and listening to and absorbing the hate speech of Reverend Jeremiah Wright for twenty years. And Was Sarah There? YES!
The cover of Newsweek this week is a photo of Palin with a shotgun. The Iranians should be worried - and so should the Americans.

SARAH PALIN IS A 'PHONY MOM & POLITICIAN!'. Simply because...SHE DIDN'T EVEN 'BLINK OR CARE' she is leaving a 'special needs' child behind, with a pregnant teenager to take care of it, and her other two daughters to fend for themselves when daddy is on the trail too! DID SHE EVEN DISCUSS THE OFFER WITH HER HUSBAND? so much for her 'christian belief', the bible says the husband is the HEAD of the family! goes to show it's all about HER!
it happens every day in allot of homes, with moms who have to juggle between family and an 8 hour shift, but there's one difference..their not running for office! she is a poor example of a mother! whatever happened to 'sterilization', birth control pills, or family planning? 44 and unprotected sex?? really irresponsible!
secondly, she has no experience or has any idea what the job demands, is contrary to john Mc Cain on 'many issues', and is lying, repeating her lies NON-STOP!
I also hate the fact she doesn't give SQUAT about the environment! Especially her comments during her convention speech! quote referring to Obama; what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? she isn't even aware ALASKA'S ice cap IS MELTING ALL AROUND HER! and what's wrong with HEALING THE PLANET anyway? we're doing a lousy job of protecting IT don't we!?? All she really cares about is lying, defaming others, hunting, and being in the 'spotlight'.
I'm a Hillary supporter who accepts Joe Biden, and i see clearly how 'phony she is'.
Look at her POOR record of protecting wildlife! LET THE GUNS BLAZE! DECLARE OPEN SEASON ON THE POLAR BEARS, MOOSE, CARIBOU, AND WOLVES! WHAT'S NEXT!? SHOOTING SOMEONE IN THE FOOT? LIKE DICK CHANEY? (i know the dude was shot in the face) DON'T TRUST HER AMERICA! I DON'T FOR-SURE!!
