"The action I am taking is no more than a radical measure to hasten the explosion of truth and justice. I have but one passion: to enlighten those who have been kept in the dark, in the name of humanity which has suffered so much and is entitled to happiness. My fiery protest is simply the cry of my very soul. Let them dare, then, to bring me before a court of law and let the enquiry take place in broad daylight!" - Emile Zola, J'accuse! (1898) -

What’s Next For Sarah Palin, Clothing Bill Investigations, 2012?  Nothing I Hope!  Political Oblivion Would Be Good!

This issue for the moment is really not about “Clothes”; it is about the recognition that the pick of Sarah Palin as a gimmick now has consequences for the Republican Party that must be dealt with.  And there are two camps and a growing divide.  One Camp wants to bury her beyond a 2012 Resurrection, the other, the Religious Rapture Extremist faction is on a “Crusade of Elevation and Adoration”.  It is the convenient vehicle of attack at the moment as long as the media has nothing better to with Sister Sarah.

Obviously I don’t care if their party tears itself a part, but I do care about anyone holding out as serious the consideration that this egomaniacal, self-indulgent, shallow, Nazi-like demagogue  who needs a copy of The Constitution and a large Rand McNally Atlas more than another pair of $500 shoes, could realistically be promoted and given a new paint job for a 2012 run at the Presidency as another Neocon funded, easily manipulated sock puppet of the forces we have done battle with for the last eight years.

And that is why every attempt to refurbish and wash away the stench of a rotten Barracuda will be dealt with here as they surface. She simple does not have the requisite constructive vision and independent intelligence to be the leader of the nation…EVER!  Her instincts and comfort within the arena of culture wars requires that we wipe her from the map of “seriously” considered “leaders”!

Despite her self-styled image as a down-home working mother opposed to big government spending, the aides told Newsweek she behaved like anything but: she spent tens of thousands of dollars more than the US$150,000 originally reported on clothing, accessories and luggage for herself and her family.

One senior aide told the magazine that she was told to buy three suits for the Republican National Convention and hire a stylist, but instead, the vice-presidential nominee began amassing costly goods from stores like Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.

At one point during the campaign, Palin's youngest daughter, seven-year-old Piper, was photographed carrying a US$790 Louis Vuitton bag.

Two sources told Newsweek the goods were bought by a wealthy donor, who was flabbergasted when he saw the bills. Palin also allegedly instructed low-level staffers to buy her new clothes with their credit cards, something the McCain campaign only discovered last week when the aides tried to get reimbursed.

Palin aides had a different version of events, with several telling the Los Angeles Times that she was outraged by the amount of money being spent on her clothing, adding she was naive about what the clothes cost.

One angry McCain aide told Newsweek magazine that it was “Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast”. The New York Times said that there was a “civil war” between Mr McCain’s campaign and hers, and that he seldom spoke to her. Fox News reported that Mrs Palin did not understand that Africa was a continent, not a country, and did not know which countries were in the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Moderate Republicans fear that if Mars Palin emerged as a national leader of their party, she would take it in the wrong direction. “If the Republican Party is a right-wing party, it cannot win,” says Frank Luntz, a Republican strategist.

Last night, Fox News’s Carl Cameron reported that “there was great concern in the McCain campaign that Sarah Palin lacked a degree of knowledgability [sic] necessary to be a running mate, vice president, and a heartbeat away from the Presidency.” For example, aides said Palin did not know that Africa was a continent, rather than a country. According to ABC News, Palin dismissed the internal criticism and refused to comment on the specific allegations:

PALIN: That’s kind of a small, evidently bitter type of person who would anonymously charge something foolish like that, that I perhaps didn’t know an answer to a question. So until I know who is talking about it, I won’t have a comment on false allegations.

The explosive claims — including that Palin could not name the signatories to NAFTA and that she refused to prepare before her Katie Couric interviews — are the latest signs of infighting and finger-pointing among McCain campaign staffers, not to mention evidence that Palin was difficult to control. For example, Newsweek and the New York Times are reporting that Palin spent far more than the originally-reported $150,000 on clothing, including spending on shoes, jewelry, and even luggage.

While Palin’s astounding misunderstanding of the basic nature of Africa has not yet been confirmed, it certainly would not deviate from her demonstrated lack of fundamental knowledge about the world:

– Palin suggested the U.S. shares a border with Afghanistan, calling it “our neighboring country.”

– Palin touted her foreign policy experience by explaining, “You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.”

– Palin suggested the U.S. was in a war with Iran.

– Palin claimed that “Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America,” though there have been no Russian incursions of American airspace during Palin’s tenure.

The fact that Palin thought, for example, that South Africa was just a region of the larger country of Africa makes McCain’s claim to have “turned to her for advice” on foreign policy “many times” that much more implausible — or frightening.

Frightening New Information About Sarah Palin Emerges

As Sarah Palin positions herself for what will undoubtedly be a long career in the national spotlight -- whether as the new messiah of social conservatives or a permanent fixture on Fox News -- damning new information about the former VP candidate is beginning to emerge.

Much of it comes from disgruntled former McCain staffers, who since Election Day have engaged in nonstop grousing and finger-pointing, most of it at Palin. Other shocking news about the VP candidate is being released by reporters who were embedded with the McCain campaign.

The new revelations, ranging from the unbelievable extent of her foreign policy ignorance, to her deeply unethical behavior on the campaign trail, are a testament to just how big a bullet Americans dodged on Election Day.

Palin's shopping spree--why it's still relevant

(It Is Symptomatic Of The Deeper Problem)

The Republicans themselves made this issue important because Sarah Palin promoted herself as a "normal," everyday Joe Six-Pack, hockey mom who would relentlessly attack excess spending--and NOT the sort to go on a shopping spree at Nieman Marcus, etc. to the tune of over a hundred fifty thousand dollars, like the "latte-sipping elitists" they tried to characterize Obama supporters to be. Even if she had stayed within the recommendations the Republican staffers gave to her of getting three new suits for the convention and three more for the campaign, it would have seemed within reason. Her overly excessive spending in contrast with the self-image she attempted to convey is all too typical of the Republican attempt to paint themselves as sharing the concerns and attitudes of ordinary Americans while continuing policies that indulge the greed of the already rich at the expense of everyone else.

The Republicans must confront, not dismiss, this contradiction which otherwise can only result in further examples of hypocrisy and deceit, if they want to remain a viable force in American politics. And that's why watching what the Republicans do about this issue will say a lot about whether they're yet ready to begin that work.

Voting Machines Elect One Of Their Own As President

A Question Of Blogger Ethics And Integrity, Deceit and Trickery!

http://thedocumentwarehouse.blogspot.com/2008/11/question-of-blogger-ethics-and.html

After a response to an intended “Post Comment” and two unanswered emails seeking explanation of this individual’s computer conduct, including my intent, absent answer, to deal with the matter in an open post; I do so now and have reported this action as a general spam abuse for blogger review.

“Patrick is an average Christ-seeker.”

I get a lot of email, a ton of it.  It get an enormous amount of post reply commentary most of which is “not fit to print” and some so personal that I take the time to personally answer the correspondence, ( I admit, acknowledge, not as timely as I would always  like to…has something to do with the minimal sleep I require).

Every so often I run into something that either starts a confrontational exchange that usually terminates when the party gets tired to trying to get through, to them..thick skull, and then there are those occasions  that really get under my skin as they strain the boundaries of Ethics and Honesty, Deceit and Trickery. This is one of those times.

I received this offering as a commentary to the post noted, and though it appears innocent enough there is this ( ... ) little hyper linked inclusion, and this type of thing is downright abuse and dishonesty in this writer’s opinion!  Just look at the entirety of the intended “for approval” upon moderation offering and you decide.

If Mr. Roberts sleazy technique below is simply an attempt at self-promotion it is at best deceit, and at worst, premeditated abuse premised upon stupidity on my part, and if that be true; his action only adds insult to intended injury.

The Case In Point:

Patrick Roberts has left a new comment on your post "What’s Next For Sarah Palin, Clothing Bill Investi...":

If Palin runs for President in 2012, at least she has name recognition going for her... but that may not work in her favor

Given that this “writer” is a self-described: “Christ-seeker” I would expect a great deal more integrity than is offered by the sophomoric subterfuge of his cutest attempted ( ... ) at this blog site where attacks have been more sophisticated, and on two occasions successful.

This is a really cheap shot!  I would refer Mr. Roberts to:

And if you feel as I do about his shabby behavior; drop him a line and let him know what you think of his actions as he purports to be providing “For The Enlightenment And Encouragement Of Christ-Seekers”.   info@kogmedia.com

Personally, I would be embarrassed into cyber oblivion if I would ever even attempt such a slimy, surreptitious, under handed, deceitful, hypocritical Hyper Link URL construction.  Mr. Roberts I think you need to do some self-examination and give some serious thought to the word “ETHICS”.

When I have something to say; I say it!  When I have something to advocate people know exactly where I am, where I’m coming from and where I’m heading, and I don’t sneak around hoping someone has their back door open.  We are not the liars, sneaks and stupid ones in the political blogosphere.  You are not alone, but you really are a sham if what you write has any truth to it at all.

I have several deeply Christian contacts in my Google Groups who are genuine and straight forward in articulating their views, and though we may have differing viewpoints from time-to-time; I respect those view points and the honesty, integrity  and sincerity with which they are communicated in our dialog.

You Sir; earn none of those descriptors, only my ire and lack of respect and acceptance for your childish action.
